Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than 10 are counted at face value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they strictly symbolize the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as 5 has a score of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be dealt depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful wager as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. be cautious of laying money on a tie. Still, odds are decidedly better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not an actual indicator of future events. Keeping track of old outcomes on a chart is simply a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and probably most successful tactic is the one-3-two-six method. This tactic is employed to accentuate profits and limiting risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
