Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than 10 are counted at their printed value whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 gives a value of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given depending on the following regulations:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Successful stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie customarily pays out at eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of putting money on a tie. Even so odds are considerably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When done effectively, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually a predictor of future events. Keeping track of prior results on a chart is a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-two-six technique. This schema is used to accentuate payout and controlling risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
