Punto Banco Policies
Baccarat banque is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, although the beginning number is ignored. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (five plus six equals eleven; ignore the initial ‘1′).
A additional card can be given out depending on the rules below:
- If the player or house achieves a value of 8 or 9, the two players hold.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player holds, the bank takes a card on a value lower than five. If the player takes a card, a guide is employed to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Punto Banco Odds
The bigger of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19:20 (equal cash less a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have money left just before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pays eight to one but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one versus eight to one)
Gambled on properly punto banco gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games punto banco has quite a few accepted myths. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes on a sheet of paper is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.
The most familiar and almost certainly the most favorable strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This plan is deployed to build up winnings and minimizing risk.
Begin by placing 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have 6 on the table, pull off 4 so you keep two on the 3rd round. Should you succeed on the third round, put down 2 to the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.
Should you lose on the first bet, you take a hit of 1. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a take of 2. And success on the initial three with a hit on the fourth means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can squander the second bet 5 times for each favorable run of 4 rounds and in the end, balance the books.
