Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the cards, although the 1st number is ignored. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a value of 1 (five plus six equals 11; ditch the 1st ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given out using the rules below:

- If the gambler or house gets a value of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, she hits. Players stays otherwise.

- If the player holds, the house takes a card on five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The better of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (equal cash less a five percent commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you quit the game so be sure to still have funds remaining before you head out). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pays 8:1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat banque offers relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few common misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not an indicator of events about to happen. Recording past outcomes on a sheet of paper is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most accomplished course of action is the 1-3-2-6 method. This tactic is used to build up winnings and minimizing losses.

Start by wagering one chip. If you succeed, add one more to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will hold 6 on the game table, subtract 4 so you are left with two on the third bet. Should you win the 3rd bet, deposit two to the four on the game table for a total of 6 on the 4th round.

Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial round followed by a hit on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the initial 2 with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the second wager 5 instances for every successful streak of four wagers and in the end, are even.
