Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of 10 are worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they just symbolize the two hands to be played).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand will be the sum of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven … 5 gives a total of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be played depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two players stand.
- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 but occasionally nine to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are emphatically better – 9 to one versus eight to one)
When done correctly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful method is the one-3-2-6 technique. This method is used to build up profits and reducing risk.
Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth gamble.
If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
