Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely portray the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five results in a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given out depending on the following codes:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties will occur less than 1 every 10 hands. abstain from placing bets on a tie. Regardless odds are considerably better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

Played properly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Staying abreast of old conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-two-six method. This process is deployed to pump up winnings and lowering risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
