Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than ten are counted at their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just depict the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 has a total of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given out depending on the following regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or nine, each gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8 to one and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Even so odds are vastly better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When played properly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Monitoring of past results on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-six scheme. This process is deployed to magnify profits and controlling risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
