Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are worth face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only portray the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 will have a tally of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a score of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties will happen lower than one every ten hands. be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are somewhat better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)

When done properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future events. Tracking of historic outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-3-two-6 concept. This plan is deployed to increase payouts and limiting risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
