Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are said to be worth their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only act as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 produces a tally of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be played depending on the following codes:

- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, each players stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Winning stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pay eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is an awful wager as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 versus eight to 1)

When done effectively, baccarat provides pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future actions.
