Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are of their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely depict the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for each hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as five will have a tally of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays out at eight to 1 and on occasion 9 to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are considerably better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

Played accurately, baccarat offers fairly good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of historic conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and probably most successful strategy is the one-three-2-6 method. This tactic is used to accentuate profits and lowering risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Attaining a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
