Baccarat Codes

Baccarat is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a value of one (5 plus six = eleven; ignore the first ‘1′).

A third card may be given depending on the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a total of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.

- If the player stands, the house hits on 5 or lower. If the player hits, a guide is used to see if the house holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The bigger of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you depart the table so ensure you have money left over before you depart). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie frequently pay eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs less than one in every ten rounds. Avoid wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)

Gambled on correctly punto banco offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Strategy

As with all games punto banco has some established misconceptions. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Tracking past outcomes on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly the most successful plan is the one, three, two, six plan. This method is deployed to maximize winnings and limit risk.

Start by placing 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a grand total of 3 units on the second bet. Should you succeed you will have 6 on the game table, subtract four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd bet. Should you win the third bet, deposit two to the four on the game table for a sum total of six on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the initial bet followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Success on the initial 2 with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And success on the 1st three with a hit on the 4th means you are even. Winning at all 4 bets gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 wagers and still are even.
