Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under 10 are worth face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only symbolize the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … five will have a total score of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given depending on the foll. practices:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pays eight to 1 and occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Even so odds are appreciably better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

Played accurately, baccarat provides generally good odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Monitoring of previous conclusions on a chart is definitely a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful technique is the one-three-two-six concept. This schema is used to magnify profits and reducing risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
