Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than ten are valued at their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they simply depict the 2 hands to be played).

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Winning bets for tie usually pays eight to one and on occasion 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. When played accurately, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
