Baccarat Chemin de Fer Regulations

Baccarat banque is bet on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the cards, however the beginning number is ignored. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (5 plus 6 = 11; ignore the first ‘1′).

A third card might be given out based on the rules below:

- If the player or house gets a value of eight or 9, the two players stay.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stands, the house takes a card on 5 or less. If the player takes a card, a chart is employed to figure out if the bank holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The higher of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19:20 (even payout less a 5% rake. Commission are tracked and paid off when you quit the game so make sure you have cash remaining before you quit). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every ten rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played correctly baccarat provides fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games punto banco has a handful of common myths. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of events yet to happen. Tracking previous results at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and definitely the most acknowledged method is the 1-3-2-6 method. This method is employed to maximize earnings and minimizing losses.

Begin by betting 1 dollar. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a grand total of three chips on the second bet. If you win you will hold six on the game table, remove four so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, put down two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial wager, you take a hit of 1. A win on the initial round followed by a loss on the second causes a hit of two. Success on the initial two with a defeat on the third provides you with a gain of two. And success on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four bets leaves you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd bet five times for each favorable run of four wagers and still experience no loss.
